Policies
Payment Policy: Payment in full for services is due at the time of reservation (this guarantees that your desired dates for pet care are secured in the schedule). Beyond Belief accepts debit and credit cards, (MasterCard, Visa and Discover) as payment for service. We also accept checks and cash. There is a fee of $35.00 on all NSF checks.
Cancellation Policy: In the event that the Client must cancel a reservation, 50% of the payment is refundable if the cancellation is made 30 days or more prior to the service initiation date. In the event of early return home, Client must notify Beyond Belief promptly to avoid being charged for unnecessary visit(s). If notification is not given and your Pet Sitter arrives you will be charged for that visit. Any remaining balance will be credited to your account for future use.
Surcharge Policy:
Emergency Care Policy: In the event of pet illness or other medical emergency and specified vet is unavailable, pet will be taken to closest vet or River’s Edge Pet Medical Center. Client understands and agrees that attempts will be made to contact them in case of emergency and if Client is unreachable, Pet Sitter has permission to authorize any care that the vet deems necessary for pet’s health, safety and survival. Client agrees to reimburse Beyond Belief for any additional fees and all costs relating to vet care during their absence, as well as an emergency medical transport fee of $35.00.
Guest Policy: In the event friends, neighbors or family members will be entering the home while it is under our care, Beyond Belief must be notified in advance. Pet Sitter will not allow entry to any person we have not been made aware of. Beyond Belief will not be held responsible for any damages incurred to Client’s home or pet(s) by said visitors. Pet Sitter may contact police if we suspect intruders or suspicious acts.
Vaccination Policy: For the safety of your pet and others, pets must have current vaccinations. Should Pet Sitter or third party be bitten or otherwise exposed to any disease or ailment received from Client’s animal which has not been properly vaccinated, it will be the Client’s responsibility to pay all costs and damages incurred by the victim. Please contact Beyond Belief directly to discuss pets which have medical exemptions to vaccinations.
Extra Fees / Charges Policy: Beyond Belief reserves the right to invoice/bill, at $20.00 per half hour or any portion thereof, for additional time spent, over the time listed in the estimate, that is necessary for the care of Client’s pet(s) and home. This includes service and time for the following, but not limited to: all veterinary trips; pet illness; excessive clean-up resulting from pet incontinence, accidents or frequent vomiting; complications administering medications; obtaining pet food, medications or supplies; wait time for emergency home repair and/or locksmith. Client will be held responsible for all expenses incurred and reimburse Beyond Belief upon return.
Key Policy: Two working copies of your house keys must be provided at time of registration/consultation. If two copies are not provided, Beyond Belief reserves the right to make a copy of the key at Client’s expense. Keys will not be mailed, hidden outside or locked in homes on last visits. Client expressly gives Beyond Belief and Pet Sitter authority to employ a locksmith in the event of malfunction of the lock, keys or automatic door opener. Client will be responsible for all expenses incurred and will reimburse Beyond Belief upon return.
Terms & Conditions
Visit times are approximate and subject to change based on the needs of all pets under Pet Sitter’s care. Pet Sitter is entrusted to use best judgement in caring for pet(s) and home, in the event of an emergency situation, severe inclement weather or natural disasters. Beyond Belief and Pet Sitters will be held harmless for consequences related to such decisions.
Client authorizes Beyond Belief and Pet Sitters to take photos of Client’s pet for their file and for business website. All photos taken are the property of Beyond Belief.
It is the sole responsibility of the Client to make sure that their home and yard are “pet-proof”. Pet Sitter will not be responsible for any furniture damage or other damage caused to the home by pet unless due to negligence of Pet Sitter. Pet sitter is not liable for pets that are left outside or may escape from Client’s property when Pet Sitter is not in attendance—for example, Clients who use doggie doors or pets who live or stay outside at all times. Pet Sitter shall not be liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines of any pet that escapes the property, unless the pet was able to escape due to the negligence of the Pet Sitter.
In the event of personal emergency, illness or other emergency circumstances of Pet Sitter where duties are unable to be performed, Client authorizes Beyond Belief to arrange for a back-up sitter to fulfill all duties as outlined in this agreement.
Beyond Belief reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time before or during its term if Pet Sitter determines that Client’s pet poses a danger to the health or safety of themselves or others. If concerns prohibit Pet Sitter from caring for pet, Client authorizes pet to be placed in a kennel with all charges to be charged to Client.
Beyond Belief reserves the right to make adjustments to the terms, conditions, and prices at any time, without notice.
Beyond Belief and Pet Sitters agree to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner.
